Limp cardboard with handwritten year of printing handwritten at the spine and handwritten title, raised bands; octavo; cm 16,3 x 11,2; pp. (2b) (137) (1b) 596 (215) (3b); text block a little bit weakened because of the not so strong binding, first three leaves with a very slight crease, water stains here and there not affecting the readability, a couple of wormholes at the lower blank edge in some pages, not affecting the text, fair to good copy overall. Old Biblioteca Sormani Andreani Verri ex libris on the endpaper, title page with the Aldine mark in woodcut, headings and initials in woodcut too, 7 full-page woodcuts, 2 folded maps (depicting France and Spain) and 12 helf-page woodcuts in the text, some parts in Greek.
