Full leather with boards framed in double gold fillet, titles and gold friezes in double fillet on the spine, raised bands, sprinkled fore-edges; octavo, 20.4 cm; pp. (2b) (28) 538 (14) (2b); slight but uniform peeling at the binding, some slightly browned gatherings. Episcopal coat of arms engraved on copper on the title page, headbands and initials (also speaking) in woodcut. First, uncommon edition, of the famous work by Menochio, published under a pseudonym, whose fortune led the author to expand it with subsequent other five volumes, published under the real name of the author.
