Ordo Baptizandi et alia Sacramenta administrandi, ex Romanae Ecclesiae ritu. In quo complura curam animarum gerentibus utilia, copiosè tractantur. Nunc ad meliorem formam redactus – 1600. Venetiis, apud Iuntas. Full coeval mute leather with four raised bands and metal clasps modeled on the Giunta coat of arms; octavo, 15,5 cm; pp. (16) 272; excellent specimen. Red and black title page with printer’s mark and woodcut illustration depicting the baptism of Christ; red and black text and musical partitions with editorial notes; some typographical errors in numbering but complete text; drop caps and 11 woodcut in the text; printer’s mark and register at the end of the work. Roman ritual that focuses on the administration of the Sacraments of Baptism, Penance, Eucharist, Visits to the sick, Extreme Unction, Funeral Services, Marriage; the institution of holy water, purification, processions, exorcism. Presumably third edition (note the previous 1592, again by the Giunta, and 1596, by the Varisco’s heirs).
