Half leather late nineteenth / early twentieth century with embossed nerves, titles, friezes and golden fillets imprinted on the spine, parchment plates and leather laces; ventiquattresimo, 11.8 cm; pp. 627 (13); additional restoration on paper in the right margin of the title page, which does not however damage the text, a halo of water in the upper right corner – not compromising the text – present for about 2/3 of the pages, last page of the board worn, overall good copy. Title page with the author’s name in an architectural frame, typographic mark, initials and ornate vignettes, circular portrait as a medal of Dante (with octave in his honor by Giacomo Manson) before his biography, three full-page woodcuts before each canticle.
