Half leather with gilded titles on the spine; quarto, 23.3 cm; 4 tomes; pp. (2) VIII 128; IV 76; IV 60; IV 80; very slight damages to the bindings, perfect interiors, only one sheet with restoration on the back, overall an excellent copy.
211 tipped in plates, most of which folded (frontispiece with Palladio’ sculpture portrait, one unnumbered, 52 in volume I, 51 in volume II, 52 in volume III, 54 in volume IV), handwritten ownership note the first title page. Beautiful edition (the first in this quarto format) on Palladio’s work through his most esteemed scholar and popularizer, the architect Ottavio Bertotti Scamozzi.
