CHENDI Domenico Vincenzo – Il Vero Campagnuolo Ferrarese di Domenico Vincenzo Chendi – (1761). In Ferrara, per Giuseppe Barbieri. Full coeval limp cardboard, with visible bands on the boards; octavo, cm 18,9; pp. (2b) XII 332 (1) (3b); text block a bit weak but still bound, a few minor stains at the last leaves, overall a fair to good copy. Title page in red and black. One of the scarcest and most important works on agriculture in Ferrara, written by a vicar from Tresigallo, here in its real first edition: “Il vero campagnuolo ferrarese”, amended after 14 years in the new edition named “L’Agricoltor Ferrarese“. The book itself is rather interesting, especially in regards to some very particular recipes, such as the “salama da sugo”; this aside, the Author speaks about a lot of different topics, such as: agriculture, countryside roads, plowing, pulping mills, animals and their illnesses, etc. At the end of the volume, we also find Francesco Maria Nigrisoli’s “Parere… intorno alla corrente Epidemia degli Animali Bovini”, a short essay on cow’s diseases
