Con l’aggiunta della figura del campo romano. Et una Informatione della militia Turchesca, & de gli habiti de soldati Turchi, scritta da M. Francesco Sansovino – 1582. In Vinegia, presso Altobello Salicato. Full coeval limp cardboard, handwritten titles on a label on the spine; octavo, cm 17 x 11,8; leaves (1b) 80 (4) 28 (1b); minor damages and spots on the binding, which is a bit loosen as the body text is detached only at the inferior band, a few gathering a bit browned, the last leaf of the index totally detached but present. Printer’s mark (Minerva on a wolf) in woodcut at the title page, headings and initials in woodcut, 43 full page 14 3/4 page woodcuts depicting war scenes and military uniforms in the text, a big (cm 45 x  36,5 circa) folded plate (with a few restorations) showing the Roman army disposition on the battle field, erroneously bound between the two parts of the work, instead of the end of the volume. Uncommon illustrated edition on the Castrametation, the ability of disposing the army on the battlefield, here focusing on the ancient world armies, the Roman, the Greek and the Turkish ones.
